Great book that has great detail of the Asian American experience. Recommend for anyone who wants to learn about the asian American history

I can't say if this is beneficial or not. This is just another required book for one of my classes.

I recently bought this book that was required for an Asian American History class. Upon reading many of the essays in here, my biggest complaint was that the authors of these essays really need to pay attention to their syntax. The problem with poor syntax is that readers have to read over certain passages many times, and at a certain point, it can be hindering on the learning experience. Another thing that really got on my nerves was how the information was presented in every essay. It's good to have background information on the subject, but at one point, it would be nice to just get to the point.However, there are some essays that are very insightful, and their information does not "beat around the bush". Personally, I would not recommend this book if you are just looking to gain more information on Asian American History. If this book is a requirement for a class, I wish you luck.

My daughter was glad I had ordered the Fact Tracker soccer book as well as the story version for her son Since I know nothing about the game, I intend to read the book before I give it to her. What would the World Cup games be if the viewers did not know the fine points of what is happening on the field. Dull.

We have the entire magic tree house series in our 3rd grader's home library. So for my 8yr old son who is crazy abt soccer this purchase was a gift this summer. He has read it couple of times. It goes well with Soccer Sunday book.

The content is similar to what you might spend two lectures on in any "Data Structures & Algorithms" course, and has very little to do with AI specifically. If you want to learn basic algorithms, get a real book on "data structures and algorithms in (insert language)".If you already know the basics of swift and algorithms, this book will make you no better either of the subjects. I think they misspelled the title, it should be "superficial" not "artificial".If you are new to programming and interested in machine learning, I'd recommend the book "Make Your Own Neural Network" by Tariq Rashid. It is a brilliant introduction to artificial intelligence and programming, and you will actually learn and create something exciting and useful.Note: This book comes in 4 flavours (languages). I have wanted to better understand artificial intelligence for a long time. This book has opened the door for me. I would've liked to see more algorithms structured around declarative models of programming, rather than imperative structure, as I feel that declarative models provide an insight that many programmers lack, having been saturated with imperative syntax languages. They helped me digest and build my understanding one step at a time.I have gained a lot of knowledge about Programming and I am very much excited to include and use those things that I have learned in this book. I returned this. Frankly the advertising, publishers descriptions seems misleading by saying it's useful for all Access developers. I could find nothing in it useful for me. None of the examples seem "mainstream", but seem more on the fringe, and hyper-advanced. But then, if you're an extremely advanced extremely elite developer doing very unusual and fringy things on the leading edge, pioneering Access use, you may not be that connected with or interested in what "most" developers are doing. There are many beginnining and intermediate developers, and being one of them, this book doesn't speak to me at all. By way of analogy, there are many mountain climbers and most of them don't need details on Mt. Everest routes. This book will likely be of great interest and loved by developers who are at the top of their field and seeking even greater challenges. The low stars are for miscommunicating that it's only for these "top guns" of the profession.

First let me qualify "great content" - as a casual Access user who is very familiar with Excel VBA, I found the tips to be well written, logical and useful. It is not a book I will read cover to cover to learn about Access but rather use for specific solutions on current projects. For me, the content is applicable to my level - a seasoned developer on the other hand may not find much to augment their repertoire. However, I do wish I had purchased the hard copy rather than the Kindle edition. In the e-edition, the chapter titles do not appear. So even though I know that Part I deals with tables, I do not know what each chapter deals with. The table of contents is linked to the chapters so if you touch a chapter you will go directly to it. That's nice but I'd like to know where I'm going first. This hunt and peck method is supremely frustrating and takes away from a great resource. If you are working on your computer and using your tablet to reference the book, you can open up the Wiley site and browse the contents. Again though, this is a workaround and in my opinion a poor substitute for what should have been provided in the first place. Also, some of the figures and snapshots do not appear crisp nor scale well so the detail you need to see is lost. So...content - great; Kindle edition - skip. IMO.

I have a fairly large library of books on programming in VBA for MSAccess, MSExcel, MSWord and many, many other programming books on a variety of other topics. One of the unique and useful aspects of this book is that it addresses specific issues, tasks or problems and does so with interesting solutions and code. The format and layout of each solution is, for me, a bit unwieldy. It seems every publisher (Wrox, O'Reilly, Wiley) has adopted a different format for the presentation and discussion of code as it relates to a given solution and that difference requires a bit of "translation" between publishers and takes some getting used to when switching between publishers -- so maybe it's just me...

Good book, lots of good ideas. Hard to adapt the code but I'm not an expert programmer.

Some really great stuff here that you wont find in other Access Books. You can tell this was written by people who actually USE Access and not instructors. Good Buy. Not for the Beginner though.

Very pleased with this book. I've been able to apply some of the ideas in my database design.

This book explains every component of the herb, not just it's benefits or where it grows, but minerals and nutritive components are listed as well. I haven't really seen that before, except here and there to show a molecular structure or something. I appreciate this breakdown, as sometimes minerals and vitamins aren't always available or able to be taken, and this offers an understanding of which herbs contain selenium, for example. Great stuff.

it's okay but if you buy a lot of his books you'll find that they're pretty repetitive so buying one or two should be enough
