I first tried to quit with Allen Carr's Easyway - it worked for 10 days, but then I was stupid enough to start smoking again. A few months later, I decided to try another book, so I picked this one. The book is great - and I liked how it focuses on getting to know ourselves first before actually quitting. However, with Easyway, by the time I was approaching the end of the book, I was getting thrilled and extremely confident I'd quit. With SmokEnders not so much; one of the biggest reasons is that with SmokEnders, the journey lasts for about a month. I am not a very patient person, and felt overwhelmed by the things I had to do.Hence, I went back to Easyway, one the same day I was finishing SmokEnders. Read through the entire book from midnight until around 4am. It has now been a month, and never been happier, relaxed and confident in myself.

This book was a GREAT help to my Mom in her struggle. It detail's a very different kind of approach to quitting smoking. It doesn't throw crap down the reader's throat but rather allow a little leeway, understanding the difficult struggle ahead.Good strategies for anyone willing to listen to them.It is not a "STOP SMOKING NOW!" book, neither is it a self-help book, rather an informative, helpful little guide in breaking down each individual smoker's habit, helping them slowly, but surely, gain the willpower necessary to finally quit smoke.Since she finally quit, It's been several Month's. Her mood has changed a lot, she seem's happier, less nervous and easier to accept difficult challenges.

June 15, 1982 I quit smoking with her class/method. I'm a non smoker still! Never an uncomfortable day. Now my daughter wants to quit. I'm glad I cpuld find a copy of the book. Sending love, Jane

I read this in 1988. I chose 4/1/88 to stop smoking. I stopped for 23 years. Then had one puff and I was hooked again. Will stop again by reading this book again. The humor points out how foolish this habit is. It takes 72 hours to rid your body of nicotine. Very hard and stressful but then an oxygen high. But with all addictions stay away from that next puff!

this book works like a charm. it was very marked up from previous owner but i wouldn't have filled out the questionnaires anyway and skimmed them. the book has a very subtle psychology that works. recommend to anyone trying to quit.

Although this book has been written more than twenty years ago, it worked for me-twice.First time i was smoke free for 18 months, second time 9.The program that the author suggests is good, I was not climbing walls, I didn't have unbearable cravings and I really enjoyed the way I smelled after I quit.The fact that I 'slipped' is my own responsibility and failing and I am currently going through the program to quit - for good this time.Highly recommended. You have nothing to lose.
