Not only will you being laughing your butt off with this one but you will probably need multiple panty changes too. I love the give and take between Katelyn and Cade. They just have this amazing chemistry that makes you feel that they have been together forever even when they are just kind of starting out as "friends". I love how they both take each other as they are. You'll just have to read this one to get the full Cade and Katelyn love affair. Sasha Burke hit it out of the park with this one. You have the hot and sexy mixed in with the funny and sweet. I loved every moment of this book and couldn't put it down.
I was expecting big things when I purchased this book.I had previously read & reviewed "Bare Ass In Love" by Sasha Burke. I was really impressed with that book & gave it a perfect 5 star review. Honestly, I can't give this book the same 5 stars. It just doesn't measure up. Not at all.The sexy cover drew me in at first. Yum. Then the book description sealed the deal.The storyline was interesting & really different. Very original.A woman (Katelyn) sneaking on to a rancher's land to study & lick rocks. Yes, lick rocks. You'll find out more about that if you read the book yourself.Both characters are really likeable & even the numerous other secondary characters are as well. I felt as if I was really fond of them all by the end of the book. Like friends.I felt the problems with the book were the whole rock studying, mineral right thing (subject matter) & that stuff took over the whole book.Yes, that is part of the plot but in this case it eclipsed (and really became what the whole book turned into) the romance / chemistry aspect of the whole book was lost.I felt no chemistry or even romance between the two main characters. Even the sex scenes were "meh".The author spent way too much time talking about different rocks, how you could tell this one from that one, how to cut them open, etcetera. If I had picked out a book about that subject this book would be fine but I picked out & bought a romance book. A romance book that basically has no romance in it. No declarations of love from either of the main characters.I basically feel ripped off & disappointed. I wasted my time & money on a book that wasn't what it appeared to be.All the basic parts & characters were here for what I feel could of been a 5 star book but the author really missed the mark this time. It just didn't come together.
I've been waiting for this easy, no angst ( who needs angst when life is filled with it) adorable storyline for a while now. Loved her other two books in the series, but I'm a cowboy lover, so this one was it for me. This was a real romance with the over protective male and the adorable (clumsy, stripping while drunk) female. Also great second characters and a lot of funny times with them..Great book for me!
I was apparently given an ARC for this book but for whatever reason I don't have it. So I looked it up and it looked good so I purchased it. I love this book! It's endearing and definitely has humor which I really like in a book. The chemistry between Cade and Katelyn is explosive and sooo fun to witness. After finishing this book I went and bought book 2. I already had the first book. This author really knows how to write captivating romance novels and I recommend her work. Enjoy! 💚💜💛💙
I had already read (and re-read) the first two books in this series while waiting for this one to come out and the anticipation was killing me. Good things come to those who wait! I loved, loved, loved this book! This author’s writing style pulls you in immediately and you can’t help but get lost in the story. Katelyn is into rocks, like seriously into rocks and she keeps sneaking onto Cade’s ranch to examine specimens and he keeps catching her. It’s an odd way to start a relationship but it totally works and the chemistry? Wow! I love the way the author uses humor in her stories and the people in the lives of her characters bring so much to her books. Highly recommend!
So much to love about this book & this series! I love humor in books & this one was awesome!!!
This was the best out of all three books. I love Katelyn's clumsiness and Cade for also loving it. The whole ranch hands and Winston looking out for her. Winston being the one to let Cade know she was there came as a wonderful surprise. Keep them coming.
This book should either be longer and expand on the lover's future, or be part of a series, each one with an HEA.
